Toyota's Prius, a name almost everyone knows when it comes to hybrid cars, is back for 2025. This time, it’s bringing standard AWD and better safety tech. It hit dealerships already. The starting MSRP in Canada is $38,165.
Built on the advanced TNGA-C platform, the car’s sleek shape is designed to cut through the air. Inside? You’ve got seating for five people, soft-touch surfaces, and a rear seat that folds 60-40 for more space when needed. The front seats aren’t just heated; they’re also power-adjustable. A leather-wrapped steering wheel with heating comes standard. Nice touch, right?
Tech and safety are big deals here. Every model has Toyota’s Multimedia system. It supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto without needing cords. Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is also standard. What’s in it? Stuff like adaptive cruise control, pedestrian detection, and lane alerts. Other safety features? Blind Spot Monitor, Safe Exit Assist, and others are part of the package.
Two trims exist. XLE AWD starts at $38,165. You get an eight-inch touchscreen, faux leather seating, and big 19-inch wheels. The pricier Limited AWD costs $44,280. That one has a 12.3-inch display, a better sound system, and extra comforts like heated/ventilated seats and a glass roof. Advanced features like panoramic cameras and parking assist are included too.
The Prius Plug-in Hybrid’s details are coming soon, so stay tuned!
